The five-member ensemble will present eloquent cultural dancing to marimba music while dressed in beautiful costumes. Through dance, video, storytelling, and art displays, they will tell the story of Women in Action, a group of 40 women living in one of the poorest settlements of Managua, Nicaragua.
(Media-Newswire.com) - Chandler-Gilbert Community College will host the Nicaragua Folklore Dance Ensemble on Thursday, September 11 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center on the college's Pecos Campus.
The five-member ensemble will present eloquent cultural dancing to marimba music while dressed in beautiful costumes. Through dance, video, storytelling, and art displays, they will tell the story of Women in Action, a group of 40 women living in one of the poorest settlements of Managua, Nicaragua.
Community members are invited to come and discover how these women are working together to organize health, nutrition, and education programs in their community.
