(Media-Newswire.com) - Raleigh - Gov. Mike Easley has reappointed Vinnie K. Goel of Morrisville to the North Carolina State Bar Council.
Goel is president and chief executive officer of NFE Technologies Inc. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Society of American Military Engineers and the National Association of Environmental Professionals. He is chair of the Indus Foundation and is a member of the Planning and Zoning Board in Morrisville. Goel received his Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Punjab Engineering College in India, his Master’s degree in design engineering systems from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and his Doctorate in engineering management from California Coast University in Santa Ana.
The council controls the discipline, disbarment and restoration of attorneys practicing law in North Carolina. The council may also formulate and adopt rules of professional ethics and conduct. The council has three members, each serving a three-year term. The governor appoints all members.
