Drakontas LLC Joins the BlackBerry ISV Alliance Program
The BlackBerry Independent Software Vendor Alliance Program will provide Drakontas with additional support to extend the presence of its DragonForce™ situation awareness platform into the public safety and law enforcement markets for day-to-day operations.
(Media-Newswire.com) - CAMDEN, NJ– Drakontas LLC, a software developer of situation awareness tools for command and control ( C2 ) for law enforcement, public safety, and homeland defense, today announced that it has joined the BlackBerry® Independent Software Vendor ( ISV ) Alliance Program.
As a result, Drakontas will gain access to business, marketing and technical resources from Research In Motion ( RIM ), as well as access to other alliance members interested in leveraging Drakontas' offerings.
Brian Regli, Ph.D., Drakontas’ CEO, said the initiative provides Drakontas with additional support to extend the presence of its DragonForce™ situation awareness platform as more and more law enforcement agencies, security personnel and first responders are being equipped with BlackBerry® smartphones for day-to-day operations.

DragonForce™ has been tested and refined over the past few years during field trials conducted with multiple law enforcement and public safety agencies, as a direct result of research funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs’ National Institute of Justice. This funding has also provided Drakontas with extensive access to practitioners and subject matter experts to provide direct feedback on the utility of the toolset. The COE also provides support to the NIJ Communications Technologies ( CommTech ) Technology Working Group, and provides specialized communications technology assistance to law enforcement agencies around the country.
