Morehead State University’s Career Services is seeking nominations for its “2011 MSU Student Intern of the Year” and “2011 Internship Employer of the Year” awards. Nominations must be received by Tuesday, Sept. 6.
(Media-Newswire.com) - Morehead State University’s Career Services is seeking nominations for its “2011 MSU Student Intern of the Year” and “2011 Internship Employer of the Year” awards. Nominations must be received by Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Any MSU student who had an internship or co-op in the past year and has been considered an outstanding employee is eligible for the Student Intern award. The selection committee evaluates the intern based on quality and quantity of work, interpersonal skills, oral and written communications and other areas related to working in the real world. Employers as well as MSU departments are encouraged to nominate their interns for this award.
Any employer who has had an MSU student intern in the past year and has been considered a great employer may be nominated for the Employer award. The selection committee evaluates on the intern’s opinion of their training for a real-world experience and the quality of specific learning objectives set by the employer. Students who interned on- or off-campus may nominate their employer for this award.
The awards will be presented during the Internship Awards and Networking Breakfast on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 8:30 a.m. in Adron Doran University Center ( ADUC ) as part of the Career Fair.
The Career Fair is held in the Crager Room of ADUC from 10 am.to 1 p.m.
