Affordable Housing Gets a major boost In Inglewood, Ca.
Federal Housing Program gives the City of Inglewood a boost into the Affordable Housing arena. Local Real Estate Firm, Team Equity L.A. Property, Inc.secures unanimous Approval from City coucil for Vital Housing Program.
(Media-Newswire.com) - INGLEWOOD, CA. – June 19, 2012 – In a move aimed at strengthening communities and making affordable housing more widely available, Team Equity L.A. Property will represent the City of Inglewood to sell two properties as part of the Federal program, Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
The Neighborhood Stabilization Program, or NSP, was created by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, known also as HUD. The aim is to bolster neighborhoods, clean up blighted conditions and improve areas left affected in the wake of the foreclosure crisis. Under the program, the NSP works with non-profit groups to revamp the homes within the program from top to bottom. Many of the improvements are focused on incorporating green practices, sustainable construction and Energy Star-rated appliances. The program is specifically aimed at moderate-to-low income families.
The Mayor and City Council of Inglewood unanimously approved the measure that grants Team Equity L.A. Property the exclusive right to represent the City of Inglewood and be the listing broker to sell two properties, which are now owned by the city:
