(Media-Newswire.com) - Sagamore Hill National Historic Site has recently launched a self-guided cell phone tour serviced by OnCell Systems. The guided tour consists of eight stops which include Theodore Roosevelt's Home, the Pet Cemetery, the Tennis Court and the Garden. The tour stops also discuss some of the lesser known features of Sagamore Hill including the Nature Trail and the Cold Spring Harbor Historic Beach.
The cell phone tours provide an alternative to visitors who prefer to not participate in one of the ranger guided programs offered daily. In addition, these tours provide information to visitors arriving to the park before 9:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m. when the buildings and grounds are no longer staffed. Information on the cell phone tour is available in the Visitor Center and the Theodore Roosevelt Museum at Old Orchard can also be found at any of the eight stops on the Sagamore Hill grounds.
The self-guided cell phone tour can be accessed by dialing 516-502-0044. In addition, the Sagamore Hill cellphone tour along with other National Park Service sites audio tours are available through OnCell System's new smartphone available at the Apple App Store and Google Play.
