NYCHA Seniors Perform at the 35th Annual Senior Show, Ageless
The New York City Housing Authority's 35th Annual Senior Show Ageless will be showing for the first time ever on Broadway, but uptown, at the Symphony Space Theatre on September 21. Ageless is a musical comedy about the powerlessness of growing older. It deals with the reality of the aging process and being closer to death and all of the inconveniences that come with that, like losing their friends and relatives and dealing with medical and funeral expenses that they can't afford-all done with a light touch. Hilarity ensues as the seniors, in their own quirky way, deal with the different issues that threaten to steal their zest for life. Many seniors participate in the shows even though they suffer a variety of health problems, and cast members have said the show is very therapeutic and makes them happier.
