OSCE/ODIHR election observers to hold press conference in Washington D.C. on Tuesday
WASHINGTON D.C., 4 October 2012 th The limited election observation mission deployed by the
OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to observe the general
elections in the United States will hold a press conference in Washington D.C. on 9 October 2012 at
11.00 a.m.
Journalists are invited to attend the press conference at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 9 October, at the
Four Points by Sheraton Hotel (Franklin D. Conference Hall, ground floor), 1201 K Street NW,
Washington D.C.
(Media-Newswire.com) - Journalists are invited to attend the press conference, at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel ( Franklin D. Conference Hall, ground floor ), 1201 K Street NW, Washington D.C. The ODIHR has deployed a limited election observation mission for the general elections to be held in the United States on 6 November. The mission's deployment follows an invitation from the authorities of the United States. As a participating State of the OSCE, the United States has committed itself to conducting elections in line with OSCE standards and inviting international election observers. ODIHR has assessed elections in the United States since 2002. The mission is led by Ambassador Daan Everts and will deploy 44 long-term observers throughout the country.
