(Media-Newswire.com) - November 09, 2012 — Coral Gables — One of today's most prolific character actors, Stephen Root will discuss his experiences in film and television production and his approach to bringing a dazzling variety of characters to life during three events at the University of Miami in November. Screenings of two of his films, including cult favorite Office Space, and a special conversation with Root will give visitors an inside look at his life and work.
“Steve and I have been great friends since we were theatre students in college,” says Henry Fonte, chair of UM’s Department of Theatre Arts in the College of Arts and Sciences. “I’m thrilled that he is coming to UM to share some of his experience and his extraordinary talent with our students. His is, in many ways, the career model we want for our students: a constantly working actor with a very solid base in craft. He can do it all. His range, as you will see from his reel, is limitless.”
