United States Mint to Launch New Limited Edition Silver Proof Set
WASHINGTON - The United States Mint is pleased to announce the release of the first-ever 2012 United States Mint Limited Edition Silver Proof SetTM.
(Media-Newswire.com) - WASHINGTON - The United States Mint is pleased to announce the release of the first-ever 2012 United States Mint Limited Edition Silver Proof SetTM. Sales for the new set will open at noon Eastern Time ( ET ) on November 27, 2012.
Coins in the 2012 United States Mint Limited Edition Silver Proof Set are as follows:
One American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin Five silver proof America the Beautiful Quarters® coins honoring El Yunque National Forest ( Puerto Rico ), Chaco Culture National Historical Park ( New Mexico ), Acadia National Park ( Maine ), Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park ( Hawaii ), and Denali National Park and Preserve ( Alaska ) One silver proof Kennedy Half-Dollar One silver proof Roosevelt Dime The American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin is the collector version of the official United States Mint American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin. The coin contains .999 fine silver and bears the "W" mint mark of the United States Mint at West Point. The quarter-dollar, half-dollar and dime coins are struck in 90 percent silver - generally referred to as "coin silver" - and bear the "S" mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco.
The 2012 United States Mint Limited Edition Silver Proof Set is priced at $149.95. Production is limited to 50,000 sets. Orders will be limited to two sets per household. The bureau will re-evaluate the household limit weekly and will extend, adjust or remove it as needed.
