Final Call for Caryites to Apply for Steering Committee
Citizens and those with a stake in the future of Cary have until November 30, 2012 to apply to join the Committee for the Future.
(Media-Newswire.com) - Citizens and those with a stake in the future of Cary have until November 30, 2012 to apply to join the Committee for the Future. This steering committee will join staff in completing a wholesale update to the Cary Comprehensive Plan, a strategic guide that expresses the values and aspirations of the community that will guide Cary over the next two decades. It is the Town’s broadest public policy document and will set forth the long-range vision for community development, transportation, housing, environment, economic development, and related topics. Citizens with questions about the steering committee and the Cary Comprehensive Plan are invited to attend an informational workshop tomorrow, November 26, at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, at noon, 4 p.m., or 6 p.m. To learn more and to fill out an application, search “Cary Community Plan” at www.townofcary.org or call ( 919 ) 460-4983.
