BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will host an Improvisation Concert on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington).
(Media-Newswire.com) - BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will host an Improvisation Concert on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall ( 1210 N. Park St., Bloomington ). The concert is free and open to the public.
According to Professor of Music David Vayo, the concert will consist of “spontaneous pieces of music, as well as games and exercises designed to develop improvising skills.” IWU students, who are currently in an improvisation workshop class, will perform these pieces.
The following students will perform:
- Akash Bhatia, senior biology and music major, from Naperville, Ill.
- Will Greenlee, sophomore music composition major, from Western Springs, Ill.
- Jordan Riddle, junior music education major, from LeRoy, Ill.
- Sam Sterbenc, senior orchestral instruments major, from Homewood, Ill.
- Clarisse Tobia, junior voice major, from Sun Prairie, Wis.
- Caitlyn Trevor, junior music major, from Wilmette, Ill.
