Public Invited to Art Poster Sale to Benefit Green Initiatives at MCC and in Community
The Mott Community College Green Initiatives Team (GRiT) is hosting its annual Art Poster Sale.
(Media-Newswire.com) - The Mott Community College Green Initiatives Team ( GRiT ) is hosting its annual Art Poster Sale.
The posters, which will be assembled on the first floor of the Curtice-Mott Complex on the MCC main campus located at 1401 E. Court Street in Flint, will be available for purchase from 8 am to 10 pm, Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 19-21; from 8 am to 10 pm, Monday through Thursday, Nov. 26-29 and 8 am to 5 pm on Friday, Nov. 30. This event is open to the public.
The collection will consist of fine art masterpieces, movie and general photography posters. Starting at $10, posters are sold unframed and range in price, depending on size and artist representation. Proceeds from the poster sale help support environmental and beautification efforts at MCC and sustainable efforts in the community.
"The art poster sale helps GRiT to purchase much needed equipment and supplies for green projects on campus as well as efforts in the community," said Rebecca Gale-Gonzalez, Marketing Assistant/Web Content Manager and a member of MCC's Green Initiatives Team.
The Green Initiatives Team ( GRiT ) at MCC was formed to assist the college with efforts toward going green, processes that benefit the environment. GRiT supports and participates in a variety of activities and programs, including recycling on campus, educational programs that champion sustainability efforts and annual community-wide events such as the College Recycling Challenge and the Annual Earth Day and Garden Celebration.
