Hofstra's Chorale and Chamber Singers Perform in Garden City
Hofstra University's Chorale and Chamber Singers held their annual winter concert on December 14, 2012, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City.
(Media-Newswire.com) - Hofstra University's Chorale and Chamber Singers held their annual winter concert on December 14, 2012, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City. Directed by David Fryling, the concert featured three larger a cappella works –The Stolen Child by Scott Perkins, Canticum Calamitatis Maritimae by Jaakko Mäntyjärvi and Requiem by Herbert Howells–interspersed with shorter octavos commenting on the connecting themes of these larger pieces. Rachel Pantorno, Kaitlyn Schneekloth and Krista Masino, graduate students in Music Education, will also conduct. The Chorale and Chamber Singers will next perform in concert on Friday, April 26, 2013, at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre.
