(Media-Newswire.com) - In a major change from past years, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is honoring the legacy of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., not with a breakfast and invited speakers, but with a Multicultural Celebration from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
tThe theme will be "United on Common Ground" and organizers will welcome a half-dozen performing acts reflecting the diversity of the UMass Dartmouth community and southeastern Massachusetts.

"The UMass Dartmouth community knows that inclusion isn't a chore that needs to be done. This Multicultural Celebration shows that embracing diversity isn't just the right thing to do -- it's also a lot of fun."
