(Media-Newswire.com) - The Mayor’s Youth Council ( MYC ) will hold a town hall meeting on underage drinking from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 455 N. Main
The town hall meeting aims to raise community awareness about the dangers of underage drinking. Panelists scheduled to participate in the town hall meeting include Mayor Carl Brewer, Vice Mayor Janet Miller, Council Member Lavonta Williams and representatives from the Wichita Police Department, USD 259 and MYC. Jason Verbeckmoes of Mirror Inc. will serve as moderator of the panel discussion and a question-and-answer session.
MYC is comprised of more than 30 youth from Wichita area high schools who are interested in local government, volunteer activities and promoting healthy living for youth.
