(Media-Newswire.com) - Omaha - A University of Nebraska at Omaha ( UNO ) faculty exhibition will open 2013 for the UNO Art Gallery.
The showcase will feature recent works in many media including painting, sculpture, ceramics, digital gaming and more from 18 visual artists on the faculty of the UNO Department of Art and Art History.
The public is invited to an opening reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11. The exhibition will run through Thursday, Feb. 14.
Faculty artists showing work are Jess Benjamin, Jody Boyer, Larry Bradshaw, Gary Day, Carole DeBuse, Wanda Ewing, Amy Haney, David Helm, Avery Mazor, Russ Nordman, Bonnie O’Connell, Joe Pankowski, Matt D. Peterson, Tana Quincy, Caroline Schmitz, Barbara Simcoe, Bart Vargas and Christina Vogel.
The UNO Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Weber Fine Arts Building on the west side of UNO's Dodge Street Campus. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Appointments at other times are encouraged. Call the gallery at 402.554.2796 during regular hours for more information or to schedule an appointment.
The Gallery will be closed on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, Jan. 21.
All events are free and open to the public and the galleries are accessible to people with disabilities.
