(Media-Newswire.com) - The Secretary General of the Organization of American States ( OAS ), José Miguel Insulza, today received Frederick Kempe, President of the Atlantic Council, in his office in Washington, DC.
During the meeting, the two discussed issues of hemispheric interest, among them the democratization of the region in recent decades, international trade, and competitiveness.
Also present in the meeting were Alfonso Quiñonez, OAS Secretary of External Relations, and the Director of the Program on Transatlantic Relations of the Atlantic Council, Frances Burwell.
