(Media-Newswire.com) - NEW YORK, N.Y. – City Comptroller John C. Liu stated the following on the passing of human-rights activist Inez McCormack:
“Inez McCormack’s passion and expertise will be sorely missed, and my sincerest condolences go out to her family. I met her several times in New York and once in Belfast in 2010, when we discussed efforts to promote equality in society. She was a signatory of the MacBride Principles, and her leadership on this issue and so many others was exemplary. Let her life’s work be our own.”
