(Media-Newswire.com) - DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored two early goals to get off to a good start in a 6-1 win over Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights ( 8-8-2, 6-6-1 NCHA ) set a school record when Ali Parker scored just eight seconds into the game. St. Norbert followed up quickly, scoring against at 2:21 on a marker by Danielle Rozon.
St. Norbert increased their lead to 3-0 on a goal by Stephanie Slinde, making her debut in a Green Knights' sweater. Concordia ( 4-12-3, 4-8-2 ) cut the deficit to 3-1 on a power-play goal by Olivia Vogel at 8:59. The Green Knights pushed their lead back to three when Brooke Nicholson scored at 9:45.
Following a scoreless second period, Henriette Ostergaard scored at 7:02 of the third period and Karissa Anderson followed with a goal at 13:59 to close out the scoring and seal the Green Knights' third consecutive win.
Anderson and Ostergaard both had two assists for three-point games, while Slinde added an assist for a two-point outing.
St. Norbert outshot Concordia 37-35. Kaley Gibson made 34 saves for the Green Knights. Jennifer DeGeorge made 26 saves in 47:02 of work for Concordia, while Kaitlyn Evans made five saves in the final 12:58.
Concordia was 1-for-4 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-2.
