Work on the Tappan Zee Bridge will continue February 4 through February 8, the New York State Thruway Authority announced today.
(Media-Newswire.com) - Work on the Tappan Zee Bridge will continue February 4 through February 8, the New York State Thruway Authority announced today. However, there will not be any nighttime work on the bridge during this period.
In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed. Updates will be issued to announce any change in schedule.
Monday, February 4 through Friday, February 8
No nighttime lane closures scheduled.
During the daytime hours, the contractor will be working within designated maintenance lane closures and/or underneath the bridge.
Saturday, February 9 and Sunday, February 10
No work scheduled.
For the safety of the public and construction workers, motorists are urged to proceed with caution and obey posted work-zone speed limits.
Traffic updates will be broadcast to motorists via Variable Message Signs along the highway and by Highway Advisory Radio 530 AM in the Tappan Zee Bridge corridor, as well as 1610 AM in the Newburgh area.
