Jonathan Crone and Colin Morris join HS2 delivery team
With just two years to go till construction is scheduled to start on the UK’s new north-south rail line, HS2 Ltd has moved to bolster its Programme and Strategy Directorate with two new senior appointments.
(Media-Newswire.com) - With just two years to go till construction is scheduled to start on the UK’s new north-south rail line, HS2 Ltd has moved to bolster its Programme and Strategy Directorate with two new senior appointments.
Jonathan Crone will join as Director of the Programme Management Office, while Colin Morris will join as Programme Delivery Strategy Director. Both will report directly to HS2 Director of Programme and Strategy, Alistair Kirk.
Jonathan Crone has joined HS2 from Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd where, as a Divisional Manager, he led a multi-disciplined team delivering project controls and integrated reporting on major oil and gas projects around the world.
With over 30 years’ experience on major infrastructure projects, both in the UK and overseas, including programme management of Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport, Jonathan will take responsibility for HS2’s Programme Management Office.
Colin Morris has joined from EC Harris. With over 26 years’ experience in both Programme, Project Management and Engineering, Colin has extensive experience of leading major change and urban regeneration programmes in the UK and abroad, including senior roles at Halcrow and the Ministry of Defence.
At EC Harris, Colin led the work with the Saudi Government on a number of high profile projects, including new multi-modal transport systems in Jeddah and the delivery plans for twelve new FIFA 45,000 seat stadiums across the kingdom.
