(Media-Newswire.com) - Courses cover art and design, IT, art appreciation and creative writing. They run from 10am to 4pm at the Claverton campus and Carpenter House, the University’s city centre location.
In art and design, students can have a go at Knitting with wire, in a new way to explore an ancient craft, or try Watercolour, ink and cocktail sticks to combine the fluidity of watercolour with the control of ink-drawing made with cocktail sticks.
In IT, Web design in a day sets students the challenge of producing a working website. In creative writing, Gripping words uses word games, discussion and exercises to help students explore the gripping power of words in fiction and non-fiction.
Marie Salter, programme manager at the University of Bath said: “The day schools are a great way for people to dip into a subject without having to take on the commitment of a weekly course. We have a wide ranging programme where the emphasis is very much on having fun, either spending the day enjoying a favourite hobby or taking the chance to try something new at the weekend.”
