Co-authored with Dr. A.T. Papagiannakis, professor and department chair of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Texas-San Antonio, the textbook includes the most recent information regarding all the aspects of pavement engineering.
"The strength of the book is that it covers properties of pavement materials and design of pavement systems," Masad said.
The textbook was published by Wiley in December 2007 and has already been adopted by many universities in the United States and internationally. According to Masad, it is also used by professional engineers to help them in material selection and pavement design.
