e-MDs is the #1 EHR in American College of Physicians EHR Satisfaction Survey
e-MDs has finished #1 in a recent American College of Physicians EHR satisfaction survey. The leading electronic health records vendor was the only product to achieve a 3 star overall rating. e-MDs scored as high or higher than any other vendor in every category.
(Media-Newswire.com) - AUSTIN, TX – At the request of its membership, the American College of Physicians ( ACP ) conducted a comprehensive evaluation of CCHIT certified electronic health records ( EHRs ) over the past 12 months. As part of this initiative, referred to as the EHR Partners Program, over 1,300 ACP members currently using EHRs were surveyed. The results have been made available to ACP members and participating vendors. The e-MDs’ EHR, named the Solution Series, received “by far” the highest scores on the survey and was the only EHR to achieve a 3 star overall rating.
e-MDs scored as high or higher than any other vendor in every category, including:
• Ease of Use • Functionality • Negotiation/Contracting • Go-Live • Implementation – Installation • Implementation – Configuration • Implementation – Testing • Training • Maintenance • Interfaces
The ACP evaluated pricing models and found that the e-MDs EHR/Practice Management integrated software package was one of the lower cost vendors in the program. The e-MDs Solution Series was the only EHR in the Partners Program with the unique combination of extremely high satisfaction scores and relatively low cost.
"We are honored to be a part of this industry leading, comprehensive, and objective evaluation of electronic health records,” stated Michael Stearns, MD, President of e-MDs. “We are delighted that the ACP physician community is realizing the benefits of our integrated PM/EHR products and services. Our focus has been on the entire user experience and providing solutions to the real world challenges faced by ambulatory care providers. This is a very exciting announcement that validates our number one ranking in ease of use and functionality in another survey recently conducted by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians rely on national member organizations such as the ACP to provide information they can trust to make decisions affecting their profession,” added Stearns.
The ACP is the largest multi-specialty organization in the United States, with over 125,000 members nation-wide including internists, internal medicine sub-specialists, medical students, residents, and fellows. In an effort to encourage EHR adoption and mitigate risk for their members, the ACP conducted this extensive review to provide guidance and tools for EHR selection for their members. In addition to the survey the ACP also required vendors to complete a detailed RFI ( Request for Information ), conducted site visits to clinics using the vendor’s EHR, and had their own EHR experts evaluate the product during in-depth demonstrations. Only EHRs certified by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology ( CCHIT ) and who agreed to participate in the program were evaluated.
