BET's "Cousin Jeff" returns to EMU Sprt. 24 to speak to students
YPSILANTI â€" Jeff Johnson, host of the Black Entertainment Television show, ‘The Truth,’ will lead a discussion about the importance of setting goals when he returns to EMU Wednesday, Sept. 24, 6-7 p.m., Student Center Auditorium.
(Media-Newswire.com) - YPSILANTI — Jeff Johnson, host of the Black Entertainment Television show, ‘The Truth,’ will lead a discussion about the importance of setting goals when he returns to EMU Wednesday, Sept. 24, 6-7 p.m., Student Center Auditorium.
This event is free and open to the public.
Johnson, who was the keynote speaker for EMU’s celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2008, will talk to students about the importance of planning their future and staying motivated.
Johnson, who also is known as ‘Cousin Jeff,’ has served as the National Youth Director of the NAACP and gave congressional testimony about Hurricane Katrina recovery. As a correspondent for BET, Johnson has covered the Darfur region of Sudan and was one of only two correspondents to interview Sudan’s President Omar Al-Bashir.
