AACC Orchestra Concert Features Soloist Pavel Gintov

(Media-Newswire.com) - Enjoy three great classical works by Brahms, Borodin and Tchaikovsky performed by the AACC Orchestra with internationally acclaimed guest piano soloist Pavel Gintov at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Anne Arundel Community College.
The orchestra will perform Brahms’ “Symphony No. 2,” Borodin’s “Polovetsian March” from the opera “Prince Igor” and Tchaikovsky’s “Piano Concerto No. 1,” which will feature Gintov. The concert takes place under the musical direction of Anna Binneweg of Alexandria, Va., AACC assistant professor of performing arts, at the Pascal Center for the Performing Arts on the Arnold campus.
Ukrainian born Gintov is completing his doctoral studies at the Manhattan School of Music and has studied at the Kiev Central Music School and Moscow State Conservatory. His international appearances include concerts with the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Orchester Berliner Musikfreunde, Tokyo Royal Chamber Orchestra, Shizuoka Symphony of Japan, Campobasso Orchestra Regionale of Italy and the State Orchestra of Ukraine. Gintov is the winner of several elite piano soloist competitions and grants.
Tickets are $10 general admission; $7 for seniors, groups, students other than AACC students and AACC employees. AACC student tickets are $5.
