(Media-Newswire.com) - Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Anderson Cooper of CNN Anderson Cooper 360° will discuss “A 360-Degree Look at World Events” at Hofstra University on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 3 p.m. in John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus.
The lecture is part of Define '09: New Challenges, New Solutions, a year-long series of programs designed to examine the new presidential administration, its policies and initiatives, the challenges we currently face and ways of addressing our country's most pressing issues.
Since the launch of Anderson Cooper 360°, Mr. Cooper has covered nearly all of the major news events around the world. Often reporting from the scene, he spent more than a month along the U.S. Gulf Coast covering the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and has returned more than 20 times to follow the reconstruction progress. Mr. Cooper has also reported multiple times from Afghanistan and Iraq, including anchored coverage in both countries on the fifth and sixth anniversaries of the Sept. 11 attacks.
