(Media-Newswire.com) - The 2009 Women's Leadership Conference, a daylong event repeated on two successive days -- Monday, April 6, and Tuesday, April 7 -- welcomes reservations from women at Penn State and outside the University for this day of personal and professional growth.
To learn, to inspire, to connect -- this year's theme describes who we are, what we do, and what matters to us. The conference's opening speaker, Marshawn Evans, will do just that when she talks about "habitude" and how it can create a "great" you.
The Women's Leadership Conference will help attendees navigate through life by defining a leadership philosophy. What is a leadership philosophy? It is a key set of beliefs describing who you are, how you react to people and situations, and what you believe about life. This year's conference challenges attendees to reflect on the principles that guide them to make decisions in life and business.
Open to members of the community and to Penn State employees, the 2009 Women's Leadership Conference closes with a multi-talented speaker, Charlotte Stallings. Her experience in sales, marketing, finances and leadership started with an introspective question: "What did I bring to the table?"
Women at Penn State who seek more information about the conference may contact Trish Ripka in the Human Resource Development Center at ( 814 ) 865-7922 or by e-mail at lms23@psu.edu. Women in the community are welcome to contact the Office of Continuing Education at ( 814 ) 865-3443.
