(Media-Newswire.com) - Researchers from the University of Bath are inviting the public to view the essence of their research, captured on film in a unique photographic exhibition taking place in Bath next month.
The exhibition is being held at the Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institution ( BRLSI ), Queen Square, Bath on Wednesday 15 July.
The aim of the event is to engage the public with the research that takes place at the University. Visitors can learn first-hand about the image and the research from the researchers themselves, and will have an opportunity to vote for their favourite image.
Each image will have a short abstract explaining what it is, what the research is about and why the research is being undertaken. The researcher will also be on hand to answer any questions.
There will be a prize for the best photo, abstract, and for the image voted as most popular by the public.
University of Bath Staff Development Manager Jeanette Müller said: “This is an exciting and novel opportunity for the residents of Bath to see, in an engaging and creative way, snapshots of the excellent research that takes place at this world-leading research centre.
“We hope that the researchers themselves will also learn a lot from the public’s perspective on their work.”
Photographs will be available for viewing from 1pm with the prize winners being announced at 7.30pm.
