So what do we got? What horrors do we have kept stash away in our vault of tricks?
Friday, we have a night filled of Fight and Friday and a dash of Fitzgerald. Master Ron Fitzgerald that is, and he will be performing his own dark arts up on stage.
Also, On screen and on stage, we will be showing many great films throughout the night, featured will be the films "Scare Zone" and "Imurders," both followed by Question and Answers after their prospective showings. For "Scare Zone", director Jon Binkowski and star Arian Ash will both be in attendance and answering questions following their screening. For "IMurders," Robbie Bryan, Brooke Lewis, and Harry Manfredini will be in attendance and answering questions.
Friday will close with a special double header of films. We will be showing "Pig Hunt" starring Primus's Les Claypool and for a special midnight showing, we will show "A Werewolf in a Woman's Prison."
Think you can survive? If so, Saturday is filled with films and more as well. For those who feel that they can scream like a scream Queen, you can try to. Or at least scream your head off until it explodes. Either way, it's fun to watch. But come out and have fun with our "I Want to Hear You Scream" contest, and yes, guys are welcome too.
And after your done screaming, you can get ready and get zombified. Come join in the fun for Sinister Visions "Zombie Pin-up" contest. Just no leaving body parts around the theater. Thank You.
And that's all in addition to the films we will be showing. "Psycho Holocaust," produced by Hank Carlson, effects artist who worked on "Army of Darkness" and more, now takes up his hat on producing. Following the film will be cast and crew on hand to answer questions.
We will also be showing many great zombie films throughout the day which will be capped in a Zombie finally of "Doctor "S" battles the sex crazed reefer zombies."
We are also showing "The Open Door," followed by a Question and Answer session by the films crew.
We close on Saturday with "From a Place of Darkness" starring John Savage.
Following the festival's films Saturday, we will have special tickets for a Paranormal Investigation being conducted by the Illinois Ghost Hunters and lead by our host and lead paranormal investigator, Mr. Willy. Come see what might be found in the dark corners of the portage theater as we spend the night investigating.
And if the ghosts don't get you, and you have enough energy for day 3, we welcome you to last the day. Filled with extras like the FX Fashion show, featuring effects artists like Troy Holbrook, Willy Atkins and more...we will be highlighting their talents and giving you a peek inside this amazing art.
We also have Salome, and her amazing burlesque troup performing their HIGH VOLTAGE BURLESQUE show.
Sunday is also the day for Local Filmmakers as we will be featuring both John Borowski as he presents trailers for his previous two documentaries and promoting his upcoming film, "Carl Panzram" He will also be on hand to answer questions about the three documentaries.
And later, we also have "Pickman's Muse" and "Bloodline," both films made by local Chicago Filmmakers.
Svengoolie will also be on hand to sign autographs and will be making an appearance from 3-5 p.m.
We also have the Art of Horror showing all weekend long with various vendors and guests.
