(Media-Newswire.com) - After the massive impact of the Sidekick Smartphone mobile device's data implosion last week, many customers and experts are now raising question about personal data security and cloud security. Many customers were left without sensitive data for days while the company along with Microsoft tried desperately to retrieve the lost data.
The questions raised involve what is known as the cloud and cloud security. Devices such as smartphones rely on the cloud and its easy to use security when it comes to phone numbers, calendar entries, photos and other data stored on the phone. With the recent loss of data, experts fear a major security comfort zone has been impacted.
As a result of the recent database issue which made the data unavailable, T-Mobile is not selling the popular Sidekick.
To smooth over with its customer base the loss of information and usage, T-Mobile is offering customers $100 a month in free data service. Many customers are reportedly not interested as they have lost data forever at this point with the $100 not being able to truly compensate them for the loss.
