Uga VII, the University of Georgia's Bulldog Mascot, Has Died
The well known mascot UGA VII for the University of Georgia has passed away on Thursday. Uga was famous for being on the sidelines of the football games played by the University.
(Media-Newswire.com) - The well known sweater wearing mascot UGA VII for the University of Georgia has passed away on Thursday. Uga was famous for being on the sidelines of the football games played by the University. He was only 4 years old.
Reports from the dog's owner is that the bulldog died of heart issues.
The dog was featured on covers of popular magazines such as Sports Illustrated, Time, and Newsweek.
No mascot has been named to replace him but school officials will place a wreath to honor UGA this weekend at their next football game at the University.
