(Media-Newswire.com) - A Google Nexus One vs. Apple IPhone touchscreen test announced by the MOTO labs team have tested the phones in a head to head matchup. The results of the line test give the nod to the IPhone with good results from the Nexus One.
The tests by MOTO show how better touchscreens are able to display lines no matter the speed that they are drawn. According to the MOTO labs website:
"On inferior touchscreens, it’s basically impossible to draw straight lines. Instead, the lines look jagged or zig-zag, no matter how slowly you go, because the sensor size is too big, the touch-sampling rate is too low, and/or the algorithms that convert gestures into images are too non-linear to faithfully represent user inputs."
The results by MOTO are that the Google Nexus one do not replicate lines as well as a user might expect. The Nexus One lines appeared jagged as opposed to the IPhone.
