UPDATE: Toyota Prius Braking Issue Set for Fix But No Recall Notice Official
The newest Toyota recall issue involves the brake system on new model Prius cars and reports indicate that after the Japanese Government ordered Toyota to investigate the problem, a fix is imminent for the car and will be done by dealers.
(Media-Newswire.com) - The newest Toyota recall issue involves the brake system on new model Prius cars and reports indicate that after the Japanese Government ordered Toyota to investigate the problem, a fix is imminent for the car and will be done by dealers.
The Toyota company did admit an issue with the software portion of the system that controls the anti-lock braking system of the 2010 Toyota Prius, But this fix was applied to cars on the assembly line and not for the cars already sold by dealers.
No official recall was announced but an apology was issued by the CEO of Toyota in a Tokyo press conference on Friday.
National Highway Transportation Safety Administration agency did alert the media that they planned on an investigation into the Prius braking issue.
