(Media-Newswire.com) - Newcomer JR Celski won a bronze medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter games after an amazing ending to the race featuring Apollo Ohno. Celski was behind in the race when two Korean skaters got tangled up and fell during the final lap.
JR Celski was recently injured in a race six months ago when he was cut on the thigh where he later received 60 stitches. The skater cruised to a spot in the finals with the five time medalist Ono.
The finals proved to be almost a loss for the 19 year old as he was back off the lead going into the final turn. Suddenly two Korean skaters got tangled up and fell in the final turn allowing Ohno and Celski take second and third place in the Olympics.
