(Media-Newswire.com) - An apparent deliberate Austin plane crash into the Eschelon Building this morning has News8Austin, KEYE and KVUE local stations on high alert covering the incident. A small airplane crashed into an Austin office building just after 11:30 AM sending the building into a fireball.
Eyewitnesses said that the plane flew right into the building at full speed and did not appear to be unintentional or mechanical failure. No official confirmation has been made as to these rumors at this point.
The building has offices for the IRS and FBI.
Homeland Security has been involved and issued a statement saying that the incident does not appear to be terrorist related.
Two F-16 fighter planes were alerted and are flying around the area as a precaution.
