Zarb School of Business and the School of Education, Health and Human Services are holding two networking panel events focused on graduate programs and future career options.
The Zarb School of Business and the School of Education, Health and Human Services will co-host a panel discussion and networking opportunity about the job market, professional careers, graduate programs and trends in the healthcare industry. The Business of Healthcare: Where Medicine and Management Meet will take place on March 3, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hofstra University Club, David S. Mack Hall, North Campus. The faculty panelists are Professor of Information Technology and Quantitative Methods John Affisco, and Professor of Health Professions and Family Studies David Weiss. Joining the faculty are professionals from Nassau University Medical Center and insurance provider EmblemHealth.
The School of Communication will host a panel discussion on how civic engagement and communication work together in the professional world. Careers in Public Service and Public Policy: Where Civic Engagement and Communication Meet will take place on March 9, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the Hofstra University Club, David S. Mack Hall, North Campus. Following the panel discussion there will be a light reception and an opportunity learn more about the School of Communication’s Graduate Programs from current students and department chairs.To register for this event please email prplac@hofstra.edu.
The faculty panelists are Associate Professor of Journalism Kristal Zook, Ph.D., Department Chair and Associate Professor of Radio, Television, Film Mario Murillo, and Assistant Professor Speech Communication, Rhetoric, and Performance Studies Guillermo Caliendo, Ph.D.
Both panel events are free and open to the public. Representatives from Hofstra’s Office of Graduate Admissions, Continuing Education and The Career Center will be available to provide information and answer questions.
