(Media-Newswire.com) - The former head of MI5, a gold medal-winning Olympic pentathlete and a respected former BBC war reporter are among those to be honoured by the University of St Andrews this summer.
Baroness Eliza Manningham-Buller, Dame Mary Peters and Kate Adie will be awarded honorary degrees by the University in June ( Tuesday 22 - Friday 25 June 2010 ).
The trio will be joined by leading figures from the worlds of science, music and law for this year's summer graduations.
They include leading bipolar disorder expert Professor Kay Redfield Jamison, composer Arvo Pärt and MRI ( Magnetic Resonance Imaging ) inventor Professor John Mallard.
The ceremonies will take place in Younger Hall, North Street, St Andrews.
