(Media-Newswire.com) - Cities like Memphis and Duluth are vying for their city to be part of the Google high speed fiber network that the search engine giant plans on setting up. A report issued today ranks the top ten competitors in the race for the Google fiber network to come to their area.
Baltimore was on the top ten list but was replaced by Portland. Second place took a turn as Grand Rapids moved into the slot previously held by Topeka. Also moving up was Fresno which jumped two positions to take the fourth slot.
No mention has been made which area will be awarded the fiber network nor when the announcement will be made.
