(Media-Newswire.com) - Apple is set to release their much publicized IPad device to consumers Saturday April 3 at 9 AM at their Apple stores. The Apple IPad is rumored to be in shorter supply than customer demands with pre-ordered units being delayed up to one week.
The Apple iPad device was announced January 27, 2010 in California with the head of Apple, Steve Jobs, demonstrating the device and also adding in the popularity of the company's other products. The device will have models equipped with 3GS service from AT&T.
Jobs said that 75 million people were users of the iPhone and IPod Touch units and the iPad will use the same look and feel as those devices.
The popular Apple App Store which allows developers to create their own applications to sell will be expanded to include new iPad applications. These applications are reported to be priced at $9.99. Current iPhone applications will work on the new tablet iPad device.
Gamers will enjoy playing their games on the unit with a new Apple 1 GHz chip made by the company.
Internet access will be through either WiFi or AT&T on select 3GS models. Pricing for the data plans were set at $14.99 for 250 MB use and $29.99 a month for unlimited use.
The iPad has several different price points starting at $499.
