(Media-Newswire.com) - Rima Fakih was named the 2010 Miss USA winner last night in a star studded event from Las Vegas. Tima Fakih is the first Arab-American to win the Miss USA pageant in its history.
Fakih is a 24 year old college graduate from the University of Michigan with a degree in economics.
The keys to her win in the pageant was a direct answer about birth control and insurance coverage where she said: “I believe that birth control is just like every other medication even though it’s a controlled substance...”
With the Miss USA crown comes an apartment in New York, salary and health coverage.
