Dell Provides Specialized Support for Classroom Environments
Dell announced today at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) education show in Denver a new flexible, two-tier service that will provide schools with comprehensive support for technology within the classroom. As technology plays an increasingly important role in the modern classroom, time wasted in waiting for equipment to be fixed or replaced can cause widespread disruption to teaching and student's learning.

As technology plays an increasingly important role in the modern classroom, time wasted in waiting for equipment to be fixed or replaced can cause widespread disruption to teaching and student’s learning. Dell’s specialized support services for classroom technology can provide schools with the reassurance that technology investments are supported and that minimal disruption to daily school life and teaching should occur in the event of an incident.
Available to schools that buy both equipment and installation services from Dell, as part of their Connected Classroom learning environment, the new services will each run on a three-year contract and can be bought on a per classroom basis, from a single room upwards. Connected Classroom Support
Remote helpdesk staffed by specially trained Connected Classroom technical support agents from Dell, accessed through a local toll-free number . Collaborative validated support services involving Dell’s key classroom technology partners including Promethean and FrontRow. As well as various classroom management software and interactive software partners that enable collaboration for teachers and students. Proactive case management. Remote resolution, with onsite diagnostic and repair options as required or for purchase as needed only. Connected Classroom Advanced Support
Includes all the elements of Connected Classroom Support plus these additional support features:
On-site labor diagnostics and warranty repairs. Management of OEM warranty repair process on customers’ behalf. Last year Dell launched the Connected Classroom learning environment with the goal of helping schools integrate technology beyond the PC lab into every aspect of the teaching and learning environment. More recently, Dell announced it is enhancing the Connected Classroom by offering a range of new services that give schools and teachers the training and confidence to use technology to improve the teaching and learning experience.
