(Media-Newswire.com) - Three Duquesne University faculty members will share their expertise on a WQED-TV show on Marcellus Shale on Thursday, Nov. 4.
Pittsburgh’s public TV station is focusing on drilling in western Pennsylvania during a live, televised show, Marcellus Shale: The Price of Progress, at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
WQED’s Chris Moore will moderate a panel including Dr. Kent Moors, director of the Energy Policy Research Group and a political science professor; and Dr. John Stolz, director of the Center for Environmental Research and Education and a professor of environmental microbiology. Gina Warren, visiting assistant professor at the Duquesne law school who is teaching the University’s first course in energy law, has been invited to participate in the studio audience.
The issue has made headlines in recent months, with supporters touting a positive economic impact, critics raising concerns about environmental issues and some homeowners reporting negative experiences on their property.
