Secretary General Celebrates Investiture of Haiti Government and Sends Wishes for Best Success
The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, congratulated the President of Haiti, Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Garry Conille, and the Parliament for the investiture of the new Government in Haiti, and sent his wishes for success in the task they face beginning today.
(Media-Newswire.com) - The Secretary General of the Organization of American States ( OAS ), José Miguel Insulza, congratulated the President of Haiti, Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Garry Conille, and the Parliament for the investiture of the new Government in Haiti, and sent his wishes for success in the task they face beginning today. “Democratic institutions have worked and Haiti has a new Government; this is cause for great satisfaction to the Haitian people, and also to the international community,” Secretary General Insulza said.
The head of the hemispheric Organization expressed his “best wishes to the Executive of Prime Minister Conille and to the Haitian people in this new stage, since many are the pending challenges, beginning with the reconstruction of the country after the devastating earthquake of 2010.” He added that “Haitians know they can rely on the permanent support of the OAS to help them successfully overcome the difficulties this resilient country must face.”
